Has it ever occurred to many of you so called photographers that you really are a bunch of amateurs with way to much equipment and thoughts of how much better you are than others. For Popeyes sake, someone asks a question and many of you get 9n your high and mighty horse. I see it on here so many times

Selfie sticks are being excluded in many meuseums and in many public spaces.

We were at The MET last week. I did see some people using selfie sticks.

Manfroto sells some good selfie sticks but they are big and heavy plus you would have to buy the phone holder separately. I got some very cheap one for $15 and down to like $3 and they are OK but the swivel part that hold the camera tends to get loose.

Look in a mirror before you go out to remind yourself what you look like then get on with your day.

I think he was talking about you.

We got the Yoozoon because it had a built-in tripod, and a Bluetooth remote trigger. I'm not good with Bluetooth things, and my wife said the bluetooth trigger worked sporadically, but I like the concept. If I was going to use it, I would insist on the remote trigger being vital to its function, and definitely the tripod feature for slow exposure shots.

That is why I rarely post, every time something is asked or mentioned there is this peanut gallery out there condemning them!!! All I did in was ask a simple question, then the first response started with the third degree!

Why do you need a selfie stick in addition to your phone? You can take pictures with your phone instead of your camera. The phone does not need a selfie stick to take pictures.

Does it really make any difference to you why the OP needs/wants a selfie stick? He wants one and that is all there is to it. Why do people not read what is posted and simply answer the question or stay out of it entirely?

For the OP, check out Amazon. You will find numerous selfie sticks. Also in camera shops as well. I suspect B&H will have some listed and so will Adorama. Some drug stores have they in the photo department. I know Walmart has some. In short they are very common and you should have no trouble.

Keep in mind, a selfie stick can also serve as a very practical and effective monopod for your smartphone camera. To use it in such a manner, ideally you will want a selfie stick that is not too short.

I have one. Works great. Easy to pair using Blue Tooth, holds the device firmly. Can’t remember the brand name but it wasn’t one of the cheapest ones. Can be used as a mini tripod and the trigger can be removed to use as a remote.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good selfie stick.
Would like to use it on days when I don’t want to lug my camera around with me.

I got a BlitzWolf at Amazon, about $21. Works great. Easy Blue Tooth connection.

I use my monopod as a combination of a selfie stick and a walking stick. I keep a quick release unit on my camera(s) as well as the smartphone clamp so I can use the walking stick/monopod for any camera combination I wish. Take care & ...

I think the point is that the question was a nonsequitur. Needing a selfie stick because one is not carrying a regular camera are not related. Perhaps it was an attempt to help the original poster figure out he does not need to buy a selfie stick? Who knows. In any event, for a good selfie stick suggest Amazon where ratings can guide the purchaser. Also suggest checking the website of the location to be attended to ensure selfie sticks are allowed. Many places no longer allow them.
