I was planning to post these in the Gallery but having seen this Challenge, I thought I would share them here.
The Iris was captured on a bright sunny day with the sun behind the flower. The exposure was ISO 50, f/4, shutter at 1/800. Flash was used with a -3 FEC and high-speed sync. Camera 5D4 with 24-105mm f4L and EX600-RT II flash. Focal length was 105mm while positioning within the minimum focus distance of the lens.
The church was taken with with a 17-40mm f4L set to 17mm and f/16. ISO 800, 20 second exposure. Color corrected for the sodium vapor lights and blue saturation reduced. The sky was overcast with the moon at about 206 degrees SSW which is why there is light in the upper right. A single star peeked through the clouds as I took this shot.
The cityscape was also taken with the 17-40mm lens set to 25mm, f/16. ISO 800, 30 second exposure. Also color corrected for the sodium vapor lights and blue saturation reduced.
In both of the church and the cityscape photographs, the star burst of the lights were created by the lens being stopped down to f/16. The lens had a seven blade iris which created a fourteen-point star burst effect.
