JMHO - Make the schools gun-friendly zones (not gun-free zones), and let the teachers who already have firearms training bring their guns to work. Don't force it on teachers who don't want it. But allow those who are in favor of defending themselves (and others) to do so. (Teachers who are forced would probably be lousy shots anyway. LOL)

One of the normal ones. I would think the real keen volunteers to be the real worry.

Here's a crazy idea. Severely regulate who can bear semi-auto weapons. Just think of it as a tricky way to reduce the carnage one man inflict. That still leaves plenty of options for the good guys to whip on the bad guys.

I await the NRA conditioned responses.

I don't recall anybody ever trying to force a teacher to be armed. It's strictly voluntarily. So stop with your trying to mislead everyone into thinking this is being put upon you. If you choose not to be armed so be it. But don't let your petty whining and not having the facts right stop someone else from defending themselves and the kids. If you don't understand this you have no business teaching our students!

She's just one of I am sure many that do not want to be armed, well nobody is mandating that she or anyone else be armed. There are many that don't want to be armed but find it necessary to be armed and support that idea to help protect children under their care. The meme indicates that the woman in that meme does not that want that responsibility, so what is her responsibility if an active shooter is inside her school? Does she still feel she is not responsible for protecting her students? Besides, I had the impression that you Lefties were "pro-choice"?

Says he with the gun grabber conditioned response. But you don’t see you’re speaking like a good s***e.

If teachers don’t want to protect themselves thats their choice. But I’ve yet to see evidence that curling up into a ball and begging for your life or crying will work.

The text in the graphic is misleading and pretty much a lie. Not a worthy post and as far as the school districts not having the money required to fund their pensions and purchase supplies..... Maybe someone should figure out why that is considering that we spend so much on education.

It appears that they (Lefties) are more concerned about funds for supplies than they are about the safty of the children in schools.

What a pompous fool. The teacher's responsibility is to count heads and initiate the 'active shooter drills' these kids practice. Only in America btw.

You're in a major, raging, gun culture inferno and don't really understand that 'semi-autos for all' has some serious drawbacks.

Can't you defend yourself from the bad guys with a pump action shotgun? Or a bolt or lever action rifle? Or an ordinary handgun?

And don't forget. If you get shot with a shotgun, bolt action or lever action rifle or an ordinary handgun your not quite as dead as if you are shot with an automatic like an AR-15. Just a little left wing anti-gun logic.
