"Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here". J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (1997)

I "see" music in many ways, especially from the viewpoint of a musician.

WOW PATo great photos and wonderful captions

Just a little Pipe Organ, makes a lot of great music to go with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

p1 Bet that would be a fantastic place play a concert! Have heard some from there, but it wouldn't be the same as being there in person!

Pat - After the inspiring variety in your opener, I simply must post something! I especially liked the bass (or cello?) bowing "action" shot with focus on the fingers.
Here's a pic of my 1918 Schaeffer upright piano (that still plays great!), and a nervous but talented young songwriter I met last weekend...

p2 Jazz - great POV on the piano and the light on the singer/songwriter. SO glad you posted. Love those old instruments.

Folks, this is my music and Charlie Daniels is the only ''violinist''.

I started out with 78s and now have a fair collection, a few hundred CDs 99% blues and country.

p2 RR I was hoping someone would post their vinyls! I have hundreds. Thanks for posting yours. Like the background too.

Pat,

Lookingat the difference between your pics and mine, I doubt that we'll ever meet up at a show LOLOLOL

p2 Anything is possible. I like all different kinds of music. Not really wild about some of the contemporary stuff that seems to have no melody accompanied by weird rhythms, but can't say I enjoy every kind of food there is either.

Thank you Pat. Robert Lepage does a lot of this stuff.

My father played the violin, the piano and the slide whistle and my mom played the piano, my sister plays the harmonica and the guitar and her daughter was a competition cello player but now has her own Dharma band, my brother the cornet and the piano.... and I listen and clap.

That is Shawn Barker from St. Louis who does a tribute to JohnnyCash. He spends summers here at that theatre, been here four years now, I've seen him three times.
