Can you stand one more music post from me? Sorry if you can't, but I think you might find this one interesting and different. Each year we try to take a unique camp picture which is among those used for promo. I was thinking "water music" and then heard one of the counselors (also a photographer) had an underwater camera. I told our director I thought we should have an underwater shot of someone playing a violin under waterÂ… The idea grew. She rents school instruments and one violin was beyond repair so she brought it. So, we didn't ruin a good instrument. So, it was my idea, but I didn't even get to see them shoot it :( I have permission to show you the result. Can't show you the pix of kids jumping in the water while "playing" the violin. The violin had to be filled with water so it wouldn't float. And yes, it did make sound under water.

Day 237

My mom's family was musical. They all came up through the Depression Era and that was all they had for entertainment. They were mostly bluegrass inclined with a little old country mixed in. She played autoharp for many years until she was able to get a piano and later an organ. Her brothers played instruments such as banjo, fiddle, guitar, mouth harp, and mandolin. My son plays all the previous plus bass, bass guitar and drums. I play acoustic and electric guitar. There are no photos of her family when playing. :-(

On my dad's side the only thing played was Poker, Various games of Pool and Craps. Funny how genetics work. My sister was a music teacher, brother played nothing including no games of chance. My daughter plays nothing but my son plays many string instruments and I only play two.

p25 Sher needs to be playing her banjo by then. By the looks of the posts today, UHH has quite a few musicians too and many who would make a fine audience.

p26 Dr. said she needed to lower her cholesterol and told her what she could/couldn't eat/drink. By the time all things were excluded, I think this is how it goes (the game of "telephone"), turns out each meal she can have 1 pea. AND peas are NOT her fav. thing.

hey shhhhhh that is for the red thread silly

truth be told
i just freaked out and exagerating claiming all that was left for me to eat was a PEA...I LOVE PEAS, but i also like almost EVERY FOOD.
then GG turned me into a pea
and then RED HEADS stood in solidarity and many showed me their dinner of just ONE PEA...but I went out to dinner and had prime rib. hahahahahahhahahaha

that is the TRUTH
