I have had a Canon 60D since it was declared 'Camera of the Year' by Pop Photo back in 2010, and have loved using it, BUT:
Now, I am looking at Upgrading to a Canon 80D, (Mainly for the WiFi, and several other great improvements over the 60D, that are too many to list in this Post.
So, my Q is whether it's worth close to the $900 price to upgrade, or wait until another Newer Model comes on board, or - - - Listen, my fellow UH Members advice! -
(I have several Lenses that already fit the 60D incl. the pricey 24-70mm 2.8L, so I'd like to stick with an upgrade that those Lenses work with.)
OPEN for Suggestions! - (Thanks in Advance, Everyone!)
KEH has used copies of the Canon 80D camera in “Ex” and “Ex+“ condition with prices ranging from $729 to $754 - that would seem to be an alternative. KEH, in Georgia, is a reliable vendor successfully used by many UHH members.

I have the 80D, and 7DII + 5DIV. If I was looking to upgrade my crop sensor bodies I would wait for the rumored upgrade which depending on who you read is either 90D, 7DIII (?) or a replacement of both 80D/7DII merged into one camera. Supposedly it will be announced in time for the Holiday Season shopping, or not?!? Some rumors with iffy reliability even say it will be 30+ mp and maybe a mirrorless body.
The 80D is a great upgrade for you - I have one myself, but it all depends on how long you can/will wait. Canon should be announcing the successor to the 80D (everyone's calling it the "90D") by October of this year. Actually, rumor has it that the 80D's replacement will combine some of what the 7D has since the 7D line is rumored to have been discontinued. Upgrading to the 80D would be a natural for you, but what if the "new 90D" has greater features that you find as must-haves? Oh, one more thing. A "new 90D" will cause the 80D prices to drop. How low, no one can say. But waiting a few months could pay dividends whether you go for the 80D or the "new 90D". Just sayin'...
As an owner of an 80D
However, the soon to be released model (90D?) is tempting if the price doesn't scare you.
Thanks for the great advice,
I am more interested in the 80D because of the 'Savings' with a slightly older camera, and not having to have the 'Newest'. - At 73, and having been quite happy with the 60D, it sounds like the 80D might just work for me! - (I need to figure out how to spot if it's US, or International more easily, as they don't make it easy some times)

Canon's online store has a refurbished section, that is where I got my 80D, right now the body only is out of stock but they have two different kits with a refurbished lens. Just wait and check daily, the refurbished stock comes and goes pretty rapidly.
The really nice thing about getting it direct from Canon is it has the same warranty as new.

If you use "quote reply" we can tell who you are talking to.
Also check out " Used photo pro". They have great prices and and solid reputation in the industry. The actual name is Roberts Camera but the used division is Used Photo pro. They have become my go to store for gear.

What do you, pshane, want to do that the 60D can't and the 80D can?
It really doesn’t matter if it is gray or US for a Canon camera as they will repair either. If you want a warranty consider a referb from Canon. If you can afford it and want something newer go for it.
I, also, have the Canon 60D, which I upgraded from the D60, which I upgraded from the F1, which I upgraded from the AE1, which I upgraded from . . .
I have considered upgrading to the 80D but I think I will wait for the 90D to be released.
Almost 3 years ago I bought refurbished 80D with 18-55mm f3.5 stm for 749.
Keep looking on Canon website for deals. In fact it was cheaper to buy the 80D with the lens than with out.
I came from a T3i and the 80D made me a better photographer.
