Just a thought: Sometime the local community college extension offers classes on digital cameras. A few years ago, I took classes-both the intro and advanced. I learned a lot, met great people, and had a lot of fun. We even went on field trips. Even got some invites to join local camera club. I would recommend these kinds of classes.
And our instructor was a National Geographic photographer. So good.

That is a good idea, I will have to check Mankato State.
Terri,
I understand about videos. They dump a lot of data on you in a short time. That's why I like books - you can re-read if you forget. And just try to learn one thing at a time, such as aperture, etc. Also, books are cheap, so buy another book because some authors explain a topic better than others. So you can read about a topic in both books and compare. Finally, try shooting in "P" mode with ISO on "Auto" for now. Read about the difference between "P" mode and "A" mode in your book. Good luck, Don
Thanks Don
I will give that a try.
Welcome to the forum. Keep practicing!
