Hi, I am a 59 year old woman who wants to be a great photographer. I can visual what I want the picture to be, but have hard time getting it to turn out that way. I have always loved photography, but find bn it compliments to understand. I have a Refurbished Nikon D3400, and it came with a few lens and bunch of other stuff. I am hoping g I can gain some k no knowledge and get off auto mode!

Welcome aboard, Terri. The folks on this forum are both knowledgable and helpful. To do what you want, I suggest you get a good basic photography book and try one technique at a time. Ask questions here if you get stuck. Best of luck! 🙂

I have first started with one of those Nikon D3400 for dummies books and am starting there. I have watched some you tube videos but they talk about everything in 1 video and I get overwhelmed. Like changing aperture, Iso, focal I dont even remember. And how to do it when your shooting and pull it all together. Just shoot auto mode now!
