If you can PP #2 and sharpen it a bit, that gets my vote.
Wish I had Photoshop, all these pics are unaltered just the way I took them. #2 shows my reflection...

Okay... Technically, it is still your photo... It is quite a bit smaller file size wise, but looks like adequate pixels.

OMG!!!! IT LOOKS FABULOUS!!!! YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! IT WAS SO NICE OF YOU TO DO THAT!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!
Can you enter pictures that have been edited? If so, you are welcome to use this one. I used curves, dogdeging and burning and levels, as well as a little sharpening.
Seems I am having trouble loading the image. Will keep trying.

You are welcome...
There are several photo processing software options out there. This site is a phenomenal fountain of excellent information. I am playing with an Open Source piece of software called GIMP, I have only just started so can not give you a comparison to anything. I keep going back to Photo Elements 4 because I know how to do 4 or 5 things well with it.
:-D

Our county fair rules say that we cannot photoshop except to crop. Nice pics. Hope this helps.

As a start consider PaintShopPro from Corel. Current version is "x4" and sells for about $40 at Target. It is often available in the Ultimate version on sale at BestBuy, Staples and Corel.com for $60 or less. It will also accept most of the plugins that come out for PhotoShop which costs A LOT MORE!
Very nice too, thanks so much!!! you guys are awesome!!! I really appreciate the help!!!
#3 is great capture - their eyes say it all
Is that a leash? Shouldn't be there
