I've lived with model trains since age 5. Got into Lionel then; still have them. Then switched to HO in 1955; have a double decked railroad in a 14x21 room now. Lifetime fun!

I thought camera gear was expensive until I started buying G scale trains (LGB, Aristocraft, ETC.) And, they take up a lot of space for a layout.

Wait to you start buying HO semi brass steam from Broadway Limited Inc. Each engine will set you back $699.95. Got a GN S2 Northern, UP 3985 Challenger $495.95, MTH UP Bigboy 4014 $429.95. All DCC, Sound and Smoke. Detailing just like the real engine.
For birthday wife purchased me the 5th run of the Broadway Limited Inc. California Zepher 11 car Passenger Set. This set her back $529.95, and l had to purchase 3 red stripe E 8/9's Broadway Limited Inc. for $200.00 each Paragon 2 DCC and Sound.
This was all done in the last 6 months.
