Normally yes Dennis, although apparently some do live on land, however this turned out to be a Moth larva. I hope you photograph some of the things you find in streams.

It has been raining lately here in Idaho where I fish but that is a good idea. I did pick up a stone in the Snake River one day to see that the trout might be feeding and the stone was covered with I believe live stoneflies and some casings. Unfortunately I only had my two Leica's and not my Nikon D800 with the Micro lens. Now though I do take them all with me.

Take a fly rod with you and give it a go. I recommend a Hardy 9 foot 6 weight for your area with a Hardy reel to go along with it. Good luck.

Take pictures of your catch,
