"Cows Over-grazing Haze."
It was such a beautiful original, I decided to desperately try to find something by creating many layers (turned out to be 7), playing around until an idea "came," then working that.

First of all Linda, the image is really nice! After looking at it for a few minutes, I decided that I didn't like so many cows and that I wanted the mountains to be closer to the foreground. I selected out the sky along with the mountains and brought them closer to the foreground cows. I then flipped the image to put the loan cow on the right. I used a Crisp Warm and Crisp blue filter from the color lookup table and blended them together. I used the Dehaze filter in Adobe Camera Raw to get rid of some of fog. From the NIK plugin
collection I used a Darken/Lighten filter to put more emphasis on the lone cow and then used a glamour glow filter to finish it off.

Very pretty, Ed. I like the flare too. Thanks for playing!

Lots of great stuff going on here, though I particularly love the perspective change and sharper line to the mountaintops. Many thanks for your time and efforts. (are there a couple of unattached tree branches in upper left?)

I'm glad you enjoyed the image too. I have several keepers from that outing

My first thought was "why would you want to change this", but I can imagine a more golden light.

Thank you, Mark; golden is good! I appreciate the compliment, also. Next time I'll have to provide one of those "oops" exposures to make it more challenging

Happy you participated, thanks again.

I think a good photo is actually more challenging than one that is in some way flawed.

My "HUH?" turned into "Wow!" As I realized how true your point was.

Too many working layers to recall the steps.

Great contrast and details, Gaylord. I particularly like how you brought out the sparkles of dew in the grass. Many thanks!

Here's mine ... in my usual fashion. I was going to put a cheetah in but I figured the cows might notice :-)
Ooooop's, I just noticed, I left the mask of the legs fuzzy, thinking it wouldn't matter ... it does matter. Lesson learned because I don't want to do it over ... sorry.

You're forgiven, Howard, because it's so adorable! Not to mention, the ground fog was obscuring stuff near the ground Now, the fact that I can see a fence post through the giraffe's body...that's a little disconcerting

Many thanks for submitting this delightful fancy.

It is delightful--and perhaps scary. Is that a vampire giraffe, casting no shadow?
