I got to thinking, it gave me a headache so I quit thinking and started doing. The size reference is my dog Murphy. His body is about 34 inches long not counting his tail. I tried to size all the other subjects relative to him. How did I do?
Sizes OK. I like the roadrunners...or quailrunners?
You need to work on the halo. And maybe an image of the doggie awake.
That's his normal pose. Only dog I have ever known who can sleep on his feet
You're right about the halos. I put this together in just about an hour including finding suitable images. I was more interested in sizes than quality images
After careful review I can say the dove looks right. As for the rest I am not sure. The chickens (?) look on the small side for chickens but maybe they are a breed I am not familiar with. The critter peeping through the grass, I have no idea what that is so I can't comment on size. I am just ignoring the snake all together.

Looks good to me based on the blocks.

Just to help: The 'chickens' are this years hatchlings of Gambel's Quail, the critter is a Coati, and the snake is a Sonoran Gopher Snake about 5 feet long.
Good idea , but you need to look at the cutting out of the dog, his front feet are not all there and there are patches of the background between his back legs and tail and the halo round the body. He also needs to be anchored down on the floor so he does not look to be floating..
The sizes of the critters relative to each other look okay to me, but they all seem too small for the plants, or the plants too big. I know you are asking about size, but just in case: the three birds around the dog seem too bright for being in shade-- the one at the top looks fine.
Thanks Nanaval. Certainly not my best work. It was the only useful dog picture I had, he was standing in about three inches of snow at the time. Going to remedy that this morning. I've decided I like the composition enough to spend the time to improve it.
Thanks Bob, I was so concentrated on the critter size I failed totally to take in the background.

relative sizes are ok, it seems to me. I'll be interested to see your re-work of the composition.

That's good, will look forwards to seeing what you do..
I dunno - everything looks a too small to me relative to the plants, and the dog looks way too small. However, I'll speedily admit that I don't have a clue how large that plant is in real life. So, take this with a heaping of salt.
