When Rudy Giuliani was Mayor of NYC he did exactly that with regard to his Stop and Frisk policy. It cleaned the streets of thousands of firearms that were in the hands of criminals. But the Democrats in all their wisdom put a stop to it saying it infringed on the rights of gang bangers. Yet these very same Democrats now want to take away our 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendment freedoms.

The drug and gang crimes happen mostly in the cities where the dems are in power and allow the criminals to be in control because the police are too fearful of being k**led to go into those neighborhoods.
The sweep that was done in Boston was to find a single person who was on the run, and was not as much of a threat to law enforcement as a neighborhood that is infested with unknown numbers of criminals that are armed with who knows what, and won't give a thought about shooting a cop from the shadows.
I would have to give it a lot of thought about going there even armed with FLIR and RPGs.

You know you are absolutely correct. I, too, look at Obama and think to myself he might have helped some people, at least a few, when he was a community organizer, registering people to v**e and so on. But then he began h*****g around with the wrong type of people, Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernadette Dohrn, both admitted bombers, the Reverend Wright who h**ed America and of course Alinsky who also h**ed America. Apparently Obama was swayed to the dark side by every one of these admitted h**ers of America. Yes, I feel your pain.
