You are quite right and I apologize for my thoughtless comment it was uncalled for and I will try not to let it happen again.

I use Sharpen AI and DeNoise AI. I got Sharpen AI a couple of days after it's release. It was incredibly slow but it had two things I needed, it showed previews and it did many of the sharpening things I couldn't and still can't do. I bought DeNoise AI because I was so happy with Sharpen and have been disappointed with it from the start. It does what it is advertised to do but slowly and inconveniently without a preview option. I use it only occasionally on really bad pictures. I move the sliders all the way to the right, click reply and go refill my coffee cup. The only good comment I have about it right now is that it is faster, although less useful that Sharpen AI

Sorry, the original file is long gone. It was taken solely for illustration and deleted once it served its purpose.

That "Noise" looks very strange to me. Too bad you don't have the unaltered original.
If this appears again on one of your other photos, try running the original through another noise reduction program and see if you get similar results.

While I did not run that particular image through DeNoise 6 or one of several other noise reduction programs that I have, I have tested DeNoiae AI on other images with similar results. I don't see these artifacts in other noise reduction programs. I must admit that in spite of these issues, I believe that Topaz Labs is on the road to a great product. I have been using their software for many years and I have faith they will find solutions/improvements in the not too distant future.

I had previously posted that I was disappointed at the speed, or lack of speed, with which Topaz DeNoise AI processed images. Many of you agreed and some of you disagreed and suggested that I needed better hardware. I couldn't agree more that I need better hardware if I expect this program to process an image within a reasonable amount of time. And I would consider upgrading my hardware if other programs were running unacceptably slow, but they are not. Furthermore, I seem to have run into another issue. It seems that upon close examination, Topaz DeNoise AI is not processing the image the same across the entire file. In a nutshell, it is missing spots without much rhyme nor reason. I have posted a portion of an image to demonstrate the effect. You most likely will need to download the image to see the end result. The area that is most affected is around the printer buttons and the area to the right of the printer buttons.

After reviewing what I had previously written regarding this topic, I wish that I had the foresight at that time to have chosen a different title - Perhaps something like, "Topaz DeNoise AI: An Observation". I think that title or one similar to it would have more accurately reflected my sentiments.

They both Have an "Update Preview" automatically. The feature can be shut off, perhaps yours is off.

as I've stated in a previous post, I ran DeNoise AI the first thing after opening the file in Photoshop, No other manipulation was performed on the file prior to running DeNoise AI.

I would not run it from within Photoshop. It is a standalone product and doesn't need the assistance of other software. Photoshop uses a lot of resources so having it open will make Denoise AI run slower.

It doesn't make a difference on my system whether I run it as a standalone or as a plugin from Photoshop. If there is a difference, it's insignificant.
