What values were this country founded on? Freedom, justice for all? E******y for all? Who was 'all' back then?
Women had to fight for the right to v**e. Native Americans were slaughtered like cattle to the tune of MILLIONS . B****s were brought over and ens***ed. Children of nine years were working in factories. Chinese laborers were brought in to build dams for pennies a day. And those are just some examples.
Those who cared fought long and hard to remedy these injustices. But we still marginalize Native Americans, we still want to control the bodies of women; We still blame them for getting pregnant, as if the man had no part in it; We still try to marginalize those we deem unworthy- B****s, women, L***Qs, anyone who is not white skinned. So why should this woman take a knee? The better question is why you have, in your arrogance, deemed her and others unworthy of what you enjoy without someone telling you that your dont deserve it and trying to take it from you and/trying to belittle you for not being white.
