Been trying unsucessfuly for weeks to do similar captures. No luck yet. You just gave me hope. Nice captures. I'm almost jealous. Not really. But yeah BIF is a very cool addiction.

took me a while...They're so quick...I start focusing on it when it is a dot on the horizon...it usually will hover so I am ready...manual mode/auto iso/shutter 1/4000/back button focus/f6/sun rising behind me and praying that it comes in close.

WELL DONE......what a fabulous series of capture and he is one large Osprey as they come. Your D850 is a workhorse of a camera it did the job lightning-fast. You have got to be proud of that successful effort.

thank you so much Blair...the 850 will come through if I do...the conditions were perfect including a colorful perch/fish (It matched the osprey's eyes!!)
