Ahhh the sun is out today!! Been a rainy cold week. I had one left from "round to it" challenge and the raging river. Since the river runs through an old mill complex, decided to "do it" in an "old" look.

pg2 love these Pat - that river is certainly moving!

Went for an all day photo trip to the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area which is on the Washington and Oregon sides of the river! I traveled on both sides of the river for several hours!

Sure would like to travel with you some day. Very nice captures. Stunning Toms, and bison on a boulder is rare to see I'm sureโ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘

-My son graduated from the Coast Guard academy last month in Cape May, NJ. We spent a day in Philadelphia before we caught our flight home. These images are from the incredible Reading Market 1 block from our Hotel. These photo's were taken at about 9am but by noon this place was wall to wall people lined up around corners at their favorite food stalls. By the way if your in Philadelphia and you want a really authentic Cheese Stake - get it here. The other places are tourist traps and the first place we were steered called Steve's was complete garbage. So happy I got one in the Reading Market before we left.

-I also found it interesting that many of the stalls & shops were run by Amish families. But the verity of food and goods was amazing. We had the most delicious breakfast at Beck's Cajun Cafe and my breakfast cost me $7.50 - would have been twice that in California.

pg1 Congratulations and thank you to your son!
Born and raised inner city Philadelphia, Reading Market was a regular market to us (weekly) so when I left the city and heard people get excited about the market and it was a highlight to their Philly visit it kind of surprised me...but now having been out of the city for more than 30 years its nice to go and visit the hustle and bustle of "the market" on occasion. The real treat is the Italian Market! Really miss that excitement. Regarding cheesesteaks....when asked "where should I go for a good cheesesteak I always recommend not to go to the "tourist trap" but to go to just about any neighborhood small pizza place and you'll get the real thing!

Here are a couple I haven't posted before taken during
our recent trip to NYC.

I'll apologize in advance for the last one; I tried combining
three images from Time Square into a panorama, and
failed miserably...I'll keep trying, but hopefully you'll
get the idea...lol

Enjoyed the visit with you, Tim, thanks๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘
