This was my thought as well. Our high schools teach photography, and as usual, are always short of cash. No family member has an interest, so that’s where mine will go.

Think twice. Most charitable trusts will take anything of value and sell it using the funds for other things. If you want to keep your equipment working for others enjoyment make sure it goes to an orgianization that has a specific person that is involved and knows the value of what the equipt is. Otherwise it's just other stuff and will be used and abused by others that don't give a hoot. Good suggestions are a a school, club or similar.
