Most slings are quite easy to pickpocket by opening the zipper without the user realizing it. This is especially true of the Think Tank where I had to keep it in front of me in Italy. The best sling for anti-theft is the Pacsafe sling which is large enough to hold what you list, but not much more. All of their products are designed for anti-theft safety.

From my experience, Pacsafe's suck for accessibility. Difficult and slow to access when you "want to be fast and get the shot" I have had them slashed and small items removed between the stainless steel fishnet. The ONLY lock that works is vigilance. If you are in a market place, church, Disneyland, etc..... you want accessibility. Now your vigilance is the most secure lock there is. If you want zipper security, the best I have ever found is the twist ties from the produce section of the supermarket. No key needed, the thief needs to twist it the right way (clockwise/counterclockwise) to release the zipper. A Pacsafe requires a key to really be secure or the 3 number combo. There goes the accessibility out the window. Not to mention worrying about losing the key if you want real security. You carry a sling pack for quick accessibility for "the shot" Otherwise just throw your gear in a backpack and dig it out whenever you might anticipate a photo. Might as well strap on the tripod as well. Oh yea, vigilance is how you should travel, gear paranoia means leave all that stuff at home and worry about everything else. Whats the point?

I consider this as the 2nd most important accessory after my camera for my city tours/street photography. I tried several models but so far haven't found the one that fully meets my requirements:
- easy to turn around your neck to pick the camera
- relatively safe against pickpockets when carried on the back
- waterproof
and holding
- 1 APS-C DSLR with mounted grip and 15-85mm zoom
- tablet and phone
- passport, purse and pocket guidebook
- small stuff (lenspen, dust blower, memory cards etc)
- separate holder/compartment for water bottle
Does NOT need to hold tripod, flash or additional lenses.

If you own or came across a specific model that fits this bill, please please let me know. The search on this web site didn't bring recent posts on this subject.

Oops!!! … Missed that, before, about the mounted grip. Never-the-less, I'm pretty sure this sling bag - described in an earlier post - will fit the bill, GMW (pics to follow) … er - how big is your tablet?

As far as I'm concerned, nothing beats the Peak Design Everyday Sling -- with one caveat. It's sized for a smaller tablet (about 10.5"). If that fits your needs, give it a try: https://www.peakdesign.com/products/everyday-sling-10?gclid=Cj0KCQjwnpXmBRDUARIsAEo71tQDJyDxZ6_tZQtThBZr7FdTcFAmvEBkvvuEQ880RZh1ZRzUYEP5ZhUaAmFeEALw_wcB

Hi,
I think this could be your case:
Think Tank PhotoCross 15

All best,
Fred Opie
p.s. I'm probably going to purchase this bag myself in the near future.
