Thanks Gene ...upon your recommendation I'm going to upgrade to the G2 (as soon as the shock wears off of the 850/grip/xqd card/backup batteries/grip battery X 2((wife's too)) I shoot 3 or 4 days a week here in central and coastal Florida and settled here for this form of art. Expect to see some good things from me. I might have to sell my Harley Fatboy to get that Fatboy F4 lens

I am sure that even with the C you'll get some really great stuff. I would suggest you shoot raw, start using Lightroom and Photoshop, and possibly On1Raw (my three go to programs), and really extract amazing things from your images. You're in the right place - geographically and attitudinally to do great things with your camera. Just beware of false prophets who recommend/pan things based only on stuff they've read andh have never actually handled the gear, much less spent any time with it. There are quite a few on these forums, but then again, there are some good, seasoned pros and advanced enthusiasts that will give you solid useful information and critique that you can take to the bank. In a relatively short length of time you'll figure out who's who.

Can't wait to see what you will be coming up with. Do you have a Flickr account?

The important criticism is constructive criticism in a way that isn't demeaning. There may be valuable comments issued from someone not as skilled as yourself. It's a matter of filtering accordingly. There are movie critics out there but how many of them make movies :)
