Not offended but I don't think that you've seen a mating Purple Gallinule. Look at the eye and the pose.Other Gallinules posted are not posed with their front in the sun and their less colorful rear in the shadow/hidden. Other posted are straight out positioned with their faded rear showing and hardly any eye color...but thanks anyhoo

Pretty good lighting not posed...gator had scared it up into the reeds...tried to saturate it and bring out the eye more but couldn't

Oh the colors in this one are to die for. What a great looking bird is he.
Great shot! These birds are tough to get a good picture as they move across the lily pads so quickly.
