Really beautiful. I think the saturation is overdone but focus, pose, background, everything else is fantastic!

Thanks chief ...don't agree about the saturation...I went through hundreds of shots before I ended up with this one, the lighting was perfect...no offense taken though.

kinda funny...take it as a compliment about the saturation...I took this last year 2 months after I bought my first camera and lens. I had never even heard of Lightroom and did very basic PP on Picmonkey...thank you

Hey, no offence meant. It's your photo to do with as you like. I was talking about color saturation. I have a D5000 that takes very color saturated photos compared to my other cameras. I'm not sure why and I could probably "fix" it in the menu somewhere, but I kinda like it. If I find it too color saturated I can bring it back to "reality" with the very little PP that I do with Picasa.
I agree, the lighting is perfect and it's a great shot. I have a few of the Purple Gallinule, and yours is better...but if it was mine I would pull the color saturation back a little. JMHO

No offense taken Chief...Since that photo I have tried to "saturate" the other Gallinules taken (now on lightroom) and can't even come close ...I always welcome your comments
