You're right about that. As long as Republicans have control of the Senate, there's no way we can expect them to uphold the Constitution.
They just dont have the backbone to fight the Capo de Tutti Capos

Kinda like how the Senate Democrats protected Bill Clinton after his impeachment and didn't uphold the Constitution? Oh wait, it was Constutional wasn't it?

In answer to the original question. If he's indicted/convicted of a crime that is under a federal statute, Pence can pardon him and he won't spend any time in prison.
If however, he is indicted and convicted under a State statute, there is no P**********l pardon available or possible. In that case, it would be the Governor of the State that could pardon him and right now in New York where he faces the most jeopardy, I don't think Cuomo will jump to his defense. As to Virginia, their governor is also a Democrat, so I wouldn't expect much help there either.
The one thing we don't know is whether or not there is a sealed indictment in one of these states that will be unsealed when Donny is no longer President.
The right is celebrating a bit prematurely at the moment. At last count, there were eleven active investigations of Trump businesses, campaign and inauguration funds.
Although, in all honesty, I h**e the thought of having a former President in prison and I think civil penalties would be a much better idea. Maybe take all his properties and sell them at auction or something to that effect.
Let's just wait and see. The one thing I can say is that Trump seems a bit agitated for someone who was allegedly "cleared" of any crimes.
In answer to the original question. If he's indict... (show quote)

Rob him of billions of dollars? WTF is wrong with you Frank, are you really that nuts? WTF is the crime that you think justifies what you just posted? Underpayment on taxes? Just what specifically are you talking about, do you not see the insanity on your side?

By the standard democrats employ, if Trump was convicted of jaywalking it would merit a death sentence.

I see that we have another sucker for f**e news... let's take a look at the president's statement in full context.....

Directly from the Mueller report...

On May 17, 2017, Acting Attorney General Rosenstein appointed Robert S. Mueller, IIT as
Special Counsel and authorized him to conduct the Russia investigation and matters that arose
from the investigation.°! The President learned of the Special Counsel’s appointment from
Sessions, who was with the President, Hunt, and McGahn conducting interviews for a new FBI
Director. Sessions stepped out of the Oval Office to take a call from Rosenstein, who told him
about the Special Counsel appointment, and Sessions then returned to inform the Presidentof the
news.°? According to notes written by Hunt, when Sessions told the President that a Special
Counsel had been appointed, the President slumped back in his chair and said, “Oh my God. This
is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fucked.”°** The President became angry and
lambasted the Attorney General for his decision to recuse from the investigation, stating, “How
could you let this happen, Jeff”°> The President said the position of Attorney General was his
most important appointment and that Sessions had “let [him] down,” contrasting him to Eric
Holder and Robert Kennedy.°°° Sessions recalled that the President said to him, “you were
supposed to protect me,” or words to that effect.°°’ The President returned to the consequences of
the appointment and said, “Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins
your presidency. It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst
thing that ever happened to me.”
I see that we have another sucker for f**e news...... (show quote)

It's not robbing him if it's court-ordered restitution.
It's called the law.

Just because someone creates a law to steal money, it doesn't necessarily make it right.
Liberals are so good at getting government to do what they can't do legally themselves.

If democrats don't get it their way legislatively they do it through h**e America courts. This is why they are freaking out about the supreme court as it will live long after Trump is gone. They are also going after the attorney general's offices in states to get their way. Watch out for this back door to destroying America and making it in the democrat dream of a third world banana republic.
