Has this crossed your mind too?

If Trump believes he is vulnerable to prosecution after leaving the White House, he may want a promise of Pardon from Pence before voluntarily vacating ahead of the expiration of his term.

I know it is far-fetched if you believe he is innocent. Of course many here believe he can “win” by being in office/re-elected when the statute of limitations expires (2022) while he is in office for his second term, thus avoiding prosecution. How is that for motivation for winning another term? Lol

My guess he will struggle with the choice of facing the embarrassment of resigning versus the risk of losing an e******n and certain prosecution.

I believe he will bet on winning re-e******n.

‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m fucked.’ Lord DJT

The anxious man that uttered those words is still with us and still anxious.

Three weeks of Barr's interpretation/spin of Mueller's report has sent the wild ones to the rooftops shouting 'REHABILITATED!'

You guys seem to be genuinely puzzled and hurt that not everyone is on board with the new 'not guilty' branding campaign.

There is much to be investigated, some kind of fraud looks like a good bet.

This is going to be your pious default position? This low character's normal associates are now convicts and/or getting ready to flip.

I'm not the one down in Mar-a-Lago tweeting about the unfairness of it all.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump H**ers, which are fabricated & totally untrue. Watch out for people that take so-called “notes,” when the notes never existed until needed. Because I never....

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
....big, fat, waste of time, energy and money - $30,000,000 to be exact. It is now finally time to turn the tables and bring justice to some very sick and dangerous people who have committed very serious crimes, perhaps even Spying or Treason. This should never happen again!

F**e news, read the entire context and you will see what he meant.
This is a good example of f**e news being swallowed by gullible and useful i***ts.
You read the totally wrong meaning of this small snippet of the whole comment and the real meaning. But that is typical of brain dead losers.

I see that we have another sucker for f**e news... let's take a look at the president's statement in full context.....

Directly from the Mueller report...

On May 17, 2017, Acting Attorney General Rosenstein appointed Robert S. Mueller, IIT as
Special Counsel and authorized him to conduct the Russia investigation and matters that arose
from the investigation.°! The President learned of the Special Counsel’s appointment from
Sessions, who was with the President, Hunt, and McGahn conducting interviews for a new FBI
Director. Sessions stepped out of the Oval Office to take a call from Rosenstein, who told him
about the Special Counsel appointment, and Sessions then returned to inform the Presidentof the
news.°? According to notes written by Hunt, when Sessions told the President that a Special
Counsel had been appointed, the President slumped back in his chair and said, “Oh my God. This
is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fucked.”°** The President became angry and
lambasted the Attorney General for his decision to recuse from the investigation, stating, “How
could you let this happen, Jeff”°> The President said the position of Attorney General was his
most important appointment and that Sessions had “let [him] down,” contrasting him to Eric
Holder and Robert Kennedy.°°° Sessions recalled that the President said to him, “you were
supposed to protect me,” or words to that effect.°°’ The President returned to the consequences of
the appointment and said, “Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins
your presidency. It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst
thing that ever happened to me.”

In answer to the original question. If he's indicted/convicted of a crime that is under a federal statute, Pence can pardon him and he won't spend any time in prison.
If however, he is indicted and convicted under a State statute, there is no P**********l pardon available or possible. In that case, it would be the Governor of the State that could pardon him and right now in New York where he faces the most jeopardy, I don't think Cuomo will jump to his defense. As to Virginia, their governor is also a Democrat, so I wouldn't expect much help there either.
The one thing we don't know is whether or not there is a sealed indictment in one of these states that will be unsealed when Donny is no longer President.
The right is celebrating a bit prematurely at the moment. At last count, there were eleven active investigations of Trump businesses, campaign and inauguration funds.
Although, in all honesty, I h**e the thought of having a former President in prison and I think civil penalties would be a much better idea. Maybe take all his properties and sell them at auction or something to that effect.
Let's just wait and see. The one thing I can say is that Trump seems a bit agitated for someone who was allegedly "cleared" of any crimes.

You seem to be getting to the bottom of your well of false narratives.
I know the sheep that feed on s**t will continue to eat and follow.

But in case you didn't know ... The VP doesn't have the power to pardon anyone.
