I think you're off to a very good start. Nothing wrong with starting out in auto. You'll experiment more with time and experience.
You are off to a nice start. Keep at it.
Great start! My crew particularly approves of the last shot.
Welcome to UHH! I have a D5600 and am really enjoying it. Ditto on the Steve Perry books. I have the D5600 for Dummies and like it also.

I never liked photo phones. Afraid Id get a call during an important shot.
Again welcome, and again, you are off to a fabulous start with your new camera! Enjoy it.

Very nice start with your 5600. Practice, practice, practice and shoot, shoot and shoot some more! Congratulations on the 5600.

Looks like you're well on your way to getting really good shots. I suspect you won't regret your purchase.
Good luck with your 5600.
Great camera(costs as much as an iPhone) and a lot of great lenses out there for it.
Your shots are great but start using other settings and see what happens to your photos, you will be amazed and sometimes disappointed but that’s the learning curve.

After relying on an iPhone for a few years, I am greatly pleased with the first shots taken with my new Nikon D5600 (all on automatic). Critique away; I probably need all the pointers I can get.
I enjoyed the flowers and the dog.

Once again, thank for all the supportive comments and advice. Y'all are just such a friendly bunch! I'm glad I found you.
I'm glad we found YOU! Give that new Nikon a workout...
