I have had the Canon Pixma Pro-10 for the last 4 years or so and it is fantastic. It's inks supposedly last longer than the inks for the Pixma 100. The Pro-10 is a great printer.

Ditto on the Canon Pixma Pro 100. Just bought one last week. It's a little on the large side and very heavy.
Make sure you have a sturdy desk / platform to put it on. Love it so far. There is an aftermarket company that sells refillable ink cartridges (amazon) and it has 8 separate ink cartridges / colors.

I have a Canon Pixma 110, portable. Battery powered. Awesome little printer you can take anywhere.

It prints great & the ink seems to go a long way.

I like that it has only 2 cartridges to fuss with. Black & Colour. Not 3 colour & a black like most printers.

This printer is a joy to own. So convenient & it's wifi too. Hooks up to my laptop & ipad, iphone no issues.

Paul :)

For printing photos at home, I use the Canon Pro 10. I’ve always used Canon printers for photos and have been very impressed with the Pixma models. My last printer was the Canon Pro 100. Great printer; but I got a deal on the Pro-10 for $100, so I sold the Pro-100.

However, I’m glad that I saw your post. I have been looking for a good small printer to take to scrapbooking events; and this one seems perfect.

I'm assuming you use the printer for photographic images.
If so.... look no further than the Canon PIXMA PRO-100.
Nothing else comes close to it.

I totally agree with that it is totally awesome! I got one from B&H when they had a deal going on and I have never had prints as good as I have done on this printer!

Same here. I've had quite a few photo printers.....none of them has come close to the canon.

You will love this printer. You can use it plugged in to the mains as well as the battery of course.

It prints fantastic.

You got a Pro 10 for that price! Wish I could find a deal like that.

Canon printers do an outstanding job and the pro 100 is the best of the bunch. I have been using Canon for years and have yet to have a clog or any other malfunction. Epson is also a fine printer but for me and my
demanding desires Canon is my choice.

Over the years i went through tons of printers/ink/cartridges. There is a huge profit for the manufacturers in the ink. My current choice for price/performance/value is Canon!

Ditto for me. This is a pigmented ink printer vs dye ink printer like the Pixma Pro- 100. You can refill the OEM cartridges with 3rd party ink such as with Precision Color and save a bundle on ink (other than red ink where they sell OEM ink for this color). Their latest gerneation of ink for this printer allows a person to use original printer profiles for Canon or other papers (unlike their first generation which required ALOT of adjustments even using their supplied profiles).

I agree the Canon Pro-100 is a great printer for the price. It also does large format 13x19".

Lots of excellent replies but I'm wondering about print longevity. Are some manufacturers more concerned about print life?
