Thank you for the compliment! It's always nice to get one from a fellow photographer as oppose to my wife and family, where they are morally obligated to always nice shot.

Perfect.

Buy Retouch for iPhone or iPad. Six bucks. Quick and easy. Have fun. Show me the tiger when you are done.

Thank you. I should have uploaded the original raw file so that you had more to work with.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post, though I have been reading the UHH for a couple of years, and wanted to make my first question worthy of you all.

I have this picture of a Tiger that I photographed (Nikon 7200 with a Tamron 150-600) when I was in India. I would like to be able to remove the stick going up the middle of his face and maybe the second stick too. I have Lightroom 6.14, On1 2019.2 and Luminar 3, the last two as possible replacements for Lightroom since, at this time, I don't want to go to the subscription route.

So can this be done with the programs that I have, or it's too difficult to do with my experience level (a working knowledge of Lightroom and the other two I have just gotten and have not really used them yet), or worst case, I really need to use Photo Shop.
Hello everyone, br br This is my first post, tho... (show quote)

I have both LR and Luminar, and I find the removal tool in Luminar works better than the one in LR.

The subscription price is worth every cent. You may not want to learn to use every feature of PS but some are just incredibly powerful. I'm a big LR fan but there are time, like in this case where LR is poor. I simply learned how to use some of the functions of PS to do those difficult tasks. This took me about one minute to do a quick a dirty removal of the "stuff" with PS content aware fill. If I had taken a bit more, it could have been better.

Do any of your available programs have a 'scratch remover' I use PSP and that would be the first thing I would try, if that didn't work a lot of tiny clone brush touch up, always on a COPY not the original!

I will fix it free. I can email you my Dropbox link and give it back to you same way. No charge. I will not use nor post your photo. You can repost finished product to this group to show my effort is all I ask. PM me if that is your desire.

Affinity Photo's "inpainting" tool removes the stick flawlessly!

I'd give ON1 a try. I'm slowly learning it and have found the Fix icon on the left side very helpful. You might want to watch one of the very helpful videos on the ON 1 website before you start. I'm weaning myself from LR for just the reason you mentioned and have found ON 1 easier in many respects! Still a learning curve, but not as steep as PS.
