The "Freedom Award" is bullshit but I think he has paid his dues and wish him good luck.

I would also vote for Hogan as far as come backs. I did not think Tiger could do it, but, I was proven wrong. Still pretty amazing, but not as good as Hogan.

Tiger has 5 Green Jackets, each representing a win at the Masters. He has 15 Major Wins. Three less than Arnold Palmer. If Tiger wins his next Major, he will be within reach of at least tying Arnold's 18 wins record. It is not going to be easy. Because, there is just too much competition out there playing golf.

I’m sure you meant Nicklaus, not Palmer.

WOW - not sure how you link Tiger Woods to forgetting about 9/11. Most people are rightfully willing to forgive and forget somebody doing wrong who wasn't intentionally trying to hurt others. As many of us, including me have done things in our private lives that were stupid or selfish.

Not so much with a deliberate attempt to hurt thousands (of course with the exception of one new congresswoman).

And before we get carried away with putting Tiger in the same class as Nicklaus - even if he does tie for number of majors - take a look at how many major second place finishes each have. Nicklaus has 19 Tiger has 6. Nicklaus has 43 top 3 finishes compared to 22 for Tiger. Don't get me wrong, Tiger is very good and the best out there in recent times but still not even close to Nicklaus in terms of skills and ability.

Maybe if he didn't have the back issues and the personal issues he could have rivaled Jack but Tiger also handcuffed himself by changing his swing mechanics at least 3 times and switching coaches at least that many times. Not saying he would have been better off not doing that but certainly there were long stretches after each of those changes before he got back to winning !

One does not have to "throw stones" to take a stand on morality. Tiger is not the only athlete with excellent achievements in a sport, but very bad decisions outside the sport that seriously hurt other people. Everyone is imperfect, but everyone should "strive" to be "better than" those who have failed so publicly.

And before we get carried away with putting Tiger ... (show quote)

And I like to speculate how Hogan would have faired if he hadn't had the car crash.

People make mistakes. It is the nature of life. To overcome the obstacles put in front of us is admirable, for celebrities such as Tiger, or even "regular" people. I do not claim to know what his private life is about now, but it looks like he has put the ghosts of his past away, and found the right path. He SHOULD be admired for his accomplishments, both physically, and mentally. And what does 9/11 have to do with Tiger Woods comeback?

I am glad he is back. Plenty of time to add to his already incredible list of wins.

He has only one (1) Green Jacket. Even Nicklaus, with 6 wins at Augusta National, has only 1 Green Jacket. No one receives more than one.

Interesting. The TV Sports News Media said Tiger won the Masters in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019. Making that 5 Masters wins. So, you don't get a jacket for each win? Or, does one jacket covers all the wins.

Correct. Only one!
Here's the scoop on the rules of the Green Jacket.
