Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure you will enjoy your SL1, it is a nice little camera. I personally own several DSLR'S, from a Canon 5DSr and 5D mk IV to the Rebel SL1 and SL2, but I still use my Rebel SL1 quite often, it's my dedicated puppy cam.

I ordered David Busch's Compact Field Guide for the Canon Rebel SL1, and Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. So then hopefully I'll be able to take a decent photo. I love Macro Photography. Some simple little thing..in purrrr-fect focus and lighting.
