Having spent the first months of this year in Hereford, Arizona photographing birds, I have had the great good fortune to see and photograph 10 hummingbird species: Anna's, Black-chinned, Blue-throated, Broad-tailed, Calliope, Lucifer's, Rivoli's, Rufous, Violet-crowned and Broad-billed.

Outstanding series. Thanks for sharingWent to Arizona for several different photo experiences. One was Hummingbirds and I went to Madera Canyon. Did not know about Hereford.Will have to go next year. Like your last image the best.

Quite a collection - I've lived in AZ for the past 3 years, but have only seen about half of the varieties you've photographed. Well done.

These are fantastic! They aren't the easiest birds to shoot. What I especially like about your photos is that you were able to catch displays of each bird that truly shows that named bird. When looking in the bird book sometimes it is difficult to differentiate, let alone in nature, but your photos are so definitive. Wow, thank you for sharing them with us.
