Retired Professor of Bacteriology at UW Madison. Avid naturalist especially birding and bird photography. Often spend time in southeastern Arizona to escape Wisconsin winter and to do birding and photography.
From time to time take international birding tours.
For photography I use Nikon equipment primarily a D4 and a D5 camera with a 300 mm and a 500 mm lens. I also have a 2x and a 1.4 x teleconverter. Most of my equipment was purchased used from either eBay or B&H photography, with both of which I have had great luck, so far.
