Contrails come in all shapes and sizes depending on the size of the airplane, speed of airplane, moisture content of the air, temperature, wind velocity and direction, they can be intermittent if they encounter internal waves in air with a density gradient due to either temperature or moisture, they may change in appearance as the airplane changes altitude, They may go away quickly or may last for a long time depending on all of the above stuff that effects stability. They can be 20 miles long and widen out and become wispy, possibly intersecting other non-contrail cloud formations. Clouds are wonderful things. Have a nice day.

You second to last sentence accurately describes the typical chemtrail. I include a real contrail that I photographed yesterday.

Interesting I have noticed a checkerboard pattern of those trails before and even though it did not rain there were metallic looking reflective particles in the air at ground level just afterwards with the sunlight just right you could see them, it would be interesting to check the air quality scientifically after one of those incidents to see if there is anything to it or not....
This story has been going around for years....just what is the chemical that you think we are being sprayed with? who is supplying it and how and where is it being mixed into the jet fuel? I know some folks who believe this story, they also claim to have seen space aliens entering and leaving the side of a mountain in Washington state.

There are 18 minerals mentioned in tests of rain samples obtained after atmospheric spraying events. Aluminum, Barium, Titanium, Arsenic, and Strontium are some of the nastiest ones. They are major constituents of coal fly ash which is plentiful at coal fired power plants and rated toxic by the EPA.
Tinker AFB has been identified as a source of both the source of the mixture and the source of aircraft used in the spraying. The base has an abundance of KC-135 tankers that are no longer used for refueling and have been converted to spraying up to 85,000 lbs of these chemicals per flight.

So the question is what is the logic in doing this, the human longevity and human overpopulation problem, or warming the planet so the arctic will be ice free and producing petroleum for an ever expanding human population and the other factors beneficial to some due to global warming such as knowing where to invest due to climate change,,,what is the logic behind this ? Also if your statement above is correct, where is the National News Coverage and National Debate on this,,,,and if your above statement is correct and there is no National News Coverage or National Debate on this for obvious reasons, is it not rather dangerous to be debating this ?
It amazes me that simple contrails can evoke such a ridiculous discussion. There is no spraying program to either warm or cool the earth. I just got into this to be sarcastic, but only a true aluminum foil helmeted alien believer would believe any kind of spraying crap story.

I consider this to be a crime by our government to keep this info from the public. I am an 85 year old Texas Korea veteran and if there is danger in revealing this: So be it. You are the first to reply sensibly to my post which was meant to warn people of the danger that lurks in programs like this.

Mr. Streets, you are very quick to call other people stupid, you seem to think being 85 years old makes you some kind of genius. Well, i happen to be 90 years young and probably am getting a little bit senile,but in my opinion you have already entered la la land. Contrails can be very short lived or last for hours depending on atmospheric conditions.
