This is our third time to the park (it has been 25 years) it was much different this time of year and we loved it! I checked out your pictures, they are lovely, thank you for sharing them!

Hi ClarkG, I think the canyon colors depend on the time of day and the weather at the time of the photograph. I saw very little yellow, a lot of greens (Arizona had had lots of rain this year), reds and tans as well as the orange you mention even some darker close to black shades. We got to experience a tad warmer weather (still cold) then the following day we had 4 inches of snow which most certainly changed the canyon view, we were lucky! Thanks for looking, glad you enjoyed the shots.
