As a horse lover, I really appreciate this sweet face hoping someone will stop by for a little rub. Very nice shot!

Your visit and comments are greatly appreciated Carol. This was a quick shot that worked out fairly well. This horse appeared to be well cared for although probably would have welcomed a scratch.

His eyes seem to just say, "Cmon, lets go for a ride".

You may be right although a very green pasture was within view. Thanks for taking time to look and comment Almostageezer.

Being a former horse person/team roper, love it brings back memories.

I have some friends who are team ropers (husband and wife team). They met through roping. It's a great event and a lot more laid back than some of the other disciplines. I'm glad you enjoyed this shot Derryg. Thanks for the visit and comment.

This poor horse is very bored if the "chewed on" siding or the post in the background to the right of his head is his doing.

I really didn't see a lot of evidence of cribbing in this stall. Any destruction could have been done by a former occupant. You can't really be sure unless you catch them in the act. This stall opened on both sides, and in this shot, the horse was looking into his paddock. The bottom half of the door was closed to keep him out of the mud. It could be that he was just waiting for lunch.

Looks like he is cribbing!!

Maybe or maybe the former occupant did the damage. It's hard to tell without actually catching him in the act. I've seen much worse like horses who have chewed holes in the siding.

Great shot! One thing, however. There is no such thing as "Just a Horse."

You are right. This one is special to someone. This is not a shot of one of those interesting "wild" horses some people post. There's no action here, but the face is interesting I think.

Thanks for the visit and comments samonk. I appreciate the time you've taken for this post.

You are right, could have been a different horse...I had one that got into cribbing once, so I recognized the signs!! Mine chewed the whole top rail of a corral before I got him stopped!!

Clicking on the picture (if you have he option set) turns the page black and really makes this image pop.
