Just a Horse

I'm still playing with the new lens, a Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 and decided to get a shot of this guy as I passed him at a barn where I give riding lessons. He almost blended in with the barn siding, but the dark background set him off a bit. I suspect he wished he was out in the sun instead of confined to his stall since
he looked pretty bored at this moment.

Great photograph! Makes me want to move in much closer, very much closer. The epitome of temptation. I admire the restraint of your composition.

The framing of this beautiful face is complemented by the vehicle boards, on either side. Very successful image, Vicki!

I cropped this one a fair amount yet decided to leave enough of the barn to maintain some kind of context and contrast. If I had taken more time, I might have turned the camera to get a vertical format. Ah...so many decisions.
