No worries. UHH was my first online forum of any kind. It took awhile to figure it all out

This is the kind of image that compels the viewer to study it. There's a lot to see without making it look cluttered. Warm colors advance, cool ones recede, and you've got a nice balance between the two, giving importance to your "mountain lion" and a bit less to the waterfall. I like the softer edges that help keep the the focus on the two main themes. In short, I like it.

Yes. I’d be flattered.

It does what you want (abstract/real/animal) quite well, as others have noted. In the future, you might do less single pass dodging (the white mists/fog), and do an area with several passes of differing shapes. This will add not only visual richness to these areas, but will get closer to the feel of fog/mist/cloud.

Your fine imagination and visual sense of color and composition will keep me on the lookout for more of your work.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I can't take credit for the "mist" as it was applied by Topaz. I don't have the expertise to do very much touch up. I wish I did. I would love to bring out the rock (animal) formation more but as stated, not smart enough. Hopefully, in time as I am learning. May I add you to my buddy list?

The lion is obvious without being overpowering. It doesn’t stop the viewer looking at the rest of picture but makes itself known. Very nicely balanced as it is and I doubt I’d change much - yes, it could be emphasised more, but that would spoil the overall. Excellent!

Love it.... changes I would make... 1 tighten the right keeping only 1/2 the purple 2 get rid of the white blob top just right of center.

I wouldn't have seen it at all if it hadn't been for Linda's comment, and I wouldn't have known it was a waterfall without you saying. Other than that I'd go along with Vicksart' comment.

A sort of engaging view of not very much for me I'm afraid.
