Good suggestions above; this is something I have to do on a regular basis. My most common technique though is to use Acrobat Pro to split the document into multiple parts. Many of my docs need to be transmitted via secure email, so the dropbox type sites don't work for me.

PDFTK Builder allows the same option (as well as other things) for free. For those that don't have Acrobat's Pro version

Send an email to yourself containing one of the pages at various settings and examine the results. That way you will know for sure what works and what doesn't. For a doc that large, I'd probably send it in pdf format to keep the file size small.

Use the snippet tool (or similar) and copy into a word document, then email. Pretty sure you won't have a problem them, but just do one page and check the file size at first.

Try one of the may free upload services. I use this one routinely without problems for all sorts of large files

www.wetransfer.com

Works a treat - add email for sender and recipient, a message, attach the file and its done. The recipient gets an email with a download link, you get a confirmation email it saved ok. For the non-premium service you do not get notification it has been downloaded.

You will get a couple of screens offering the 'Plus' service for a fee but just skip those (although the plus service does offer some useful benefits for frequent users) Worth noting I have never received an email from them

If its a sensitive then just save in a Winzip file with encryption and send the winzip file instead. I then call the receiver and tell them the password (or send in a text?)

I make each page about 30 KB
They read perfectly and over 200 pages can easily be emailed.
Now large photos or other things like 30x42 technical drawings are different and you would need to use something like drop box.

Microsoft Word to create the document (PDF or Word) or open your existing document, and then attach the document choice to your email... when too large use WeTransfer (FREE).

I use Dropbox for large file sharing.

It would be interesting to (if a PC) right click the final document go to properties and see the file size. Your e-mail should have a size limit and you would then know how close you are or how much you need to reduce what you have.

Create a .zip file then email that compresses file. Good luck. That's my WAG.
