Fantastic set of images!!!!
Nice ones. I like the reflections.
really wonderful images. you're good with these birds.
Good morning all. I appreciate the interest and all the kind comments. Some days Bombay Hook NWR can be a bust and on other days you want to stop every couple of hundred feet. I usually go twice around the refuge before heading for home.

As for clicking 'Store Original', it would not make a difference. From the Photo Gallery guidelines:
- Maximum dimensions for images are 600x800. So if you want to post a crop and be assured that it doesn't get reduced, then resize it on your end down to at most 600 pixels in width. Images with dimensions of 600x800 or less aren't modified during the upload process.
To each their own, but that is my choice. I figure most people don't want to pixel peep every image, so I prefer to have my images show up as processed.
I also believe that if the Admin would increase the allowed width from 600 to 800 or 1,000 there would be a lot less need for the 'store original' option.

Great captures! Love the soaring kingfisher!
Excellent photography, Bill_de! I love the Kingfisher and RWBB images especially. I like how the background is muted and simplistic, but enough detail there to know the birds are in their environment. Bombay Hook seems to have quite an assortment of wildlife/birds.
Nice set, Bill. Retirement is nice for doing things at your own pace, ain't it?
Excellent, Bill. You also got some very complementary backgrounds.

Tanks Tom. That Kingfisher has been hanging around that area for a couple of years now. You can often hear but not see it.
