DJphoto Loc: SF Bay Area

You have many great recommendations. My wife of two years then (still happily married) and I spent 5 days in Barcelona in the summer of 1973 and it is a beautiful city. One special place that hasn't been mentioned is Montjuïc Park. We enjoyed a relaxing walk around there. I was interested in visiting because it was where the Spanish F1 race was held at the time. The park has a special meaning to me, as it is where I decided to become a college professor "at some time in the future" after I got some experience as an engineer and then teach in the department I graduated from. After 35 years as an aerospace engineer, I'm now finishing my 11th year of teaching part time in my old department and still enjoying it.

I noted the comments about Barcelona and Venice being the two "must see" cities in Europe. We've been to both and are booked on a cruise from Venice to Barcelona in June 2020. We'll only have a couple of days in Barcelona and are really looking forward to it. I personally wouldn't rank Venice and Barcelona as number 1 and 2, but probably 4 and 5. IMHO, I would put Florence and Rome as 1 and 2, with Paris as 3.
