These shots were taken on Fir Island in Skagit County Washington last Tuesday. It was a clear, cold day. Thousands of snow geese were leisurely spending the day pecking in the mud and grass when an eagle flew by. Then this happened. It's the closest I have been to a snow goose explosion in quite awhile. I was lucky not to get pooped on. Taken with a Nikon D500 and a Tamron 150x600MM G2 lens. I welcome your comments/criticisms/suggestions.

Great crowd scene! When they take off like this the energy is almost palpable. Nicely photographed saxman!

Great. I particularly like the goose in the upper right of the third picture.

What do you know Jeff - that's the one I like too.

I've seen this before too. It's hard to believe they can fly so close together and not crash.

I'm pretty sure a blind person could easily get his limit on a goose hunt.
