If you believe these things, and they make your life better, I think that is wonderful. If you feel obligated to convince others of this, I find that sad.

What if your family member wanted and was thankful for having this shared with them

You believing that stuff doesn't bother me, I just hope you get something from it. You believing that the rest of us need to believe it bothers me a lot.

No ones twisting your arm we are called to share the good news! So stop blaming the messenger you can just politely decline

My friend you made the statement, I’m just asking you to admit you can’t prove he exists

Oops I meant to say no proof that God doesn’t exist

Some get upset with me for contending for the faith.
My point is if you don’t like it don’t bring up the subject.
Because I will defend it.

What I don't understand is why do people h**e the faith of others? If somebody is outwardly religious to the point that I find them obnoxious I simply don't pay any attention to them. I think that the true hatred for Christianity in this country boils down to Roe v Wade... Libs just see religion as an impediment in actuating their progressive agenda.

Blurry the Bible said we would be h**ed.
Jesus told us to preach the Gospel.
People want to do what they want to do without consequence

Hey Sancho, I'm agnostic but I have enough sense to not disrespect others for their religious beliefs, I was raised better than that.

Not even close, if it makes it easier for you to live with your bigotry, then good for you.

Deleted with my apologies.

Also, it's not hard to say which belief system has validity and which doesn't...here it is simplified:

Only the God of the Christian faith provides the necessary preconditions for the intelligibility of all human experience, all others fail the test. That is to say without presupposing the God of the bible, one cannot make sense of anything. Thus, God must be true due to the impossibility of the contrary or alternatives.

I do agree with you though, if I were to make a god up I'd make one who agreed with me on all of the things that I think, that's the usual way folks do it.
Deleted with my apologies. br br Also, it's not h... (show quote)

And there are billions of Muslims that would k**l you over your belief that "your" god is not the same as "their" god. How many millions and millions of people have died in wars that are basically fought over what what amounts to a difference in religious beliefs? Everyone thinks "their" God is the "real" God. My solution is to not pick any of them. You're entitled to your beliefs, I'm entitled to mine. I apologize if you feel like you're being attacked. You must be related to "The Donald".

Who started with the calling names, ie "Pendejos"? Not I. I thought name calling was off limits here? Just because you said it in Spanish doesn't change the fact that you started with the personal insults. I just responded in kind. Like I said, "Mr. Pot".
Respectfully,
Kettle

Fair point, but it hardly absolves you of your bigotry.

Again, you're the pot calling the kettle black. Why aren't you just as much of a bigot because I don't see things the way you do? You want to attack me because I disagree with your religious philosophy. You're just as bigoted about my viewpoint. We just need to agree to disagree and stop with the personal attacks and insults. I suggest you listen to John Lennon's "Imagine". Maybe more than once.

Again, you do not read well, I am agnostic, but I know better than to attack people for their religious beliefs, if I don't agree I find it much more fitting to ignore people than to tell them that they believe in fairy tales and such. People's religions are often a strong source of self-identity, it is wrong to belittle them for holding their beliefs and to be honest, you can no better prove there is no god than they can prove that there is.

Hey, D-Train, I apologize for calling you a Pendejo, I really do take exception to people ridiculing others for religious beliefs, I have witnessed a lot of good in our society because of religion, and have not witnessed the same because of its absence.

But let's get beyond that, let me ask you of the equity in my having to accept that a man is a woman or a woman is a man simply because they themselves believe it to be so even though biology itself screams that this is not true and my own lying eyes confirm the same, but you don't see the necessity to respect the spiritual beliefs of your fellow citizens, they also believe their t***hs to be true.
