That's some fine animal husbandry. Good for him! I had a talking catfish for 16 years but I made the mistake of buying from a chain store without quarantining the fish and I introduced a virus that wiped out my whole aquarium. Never made that mistake again.
Wow! 14 yrs old...and what a beauty, Bronco!

Beautiful fish and tank photos!
Nice photos. How did you avoid the glare and softness that usually happens shooting though glass?
Thank you Islandgal and Strodav.
I don't have a technique, Strodav. I'm forced to shoot my bird feeder guests through 2 panes of glass on my sliding glass door fairly often. I guess I've gotten used to getting the right angle and I take several shots until I get adequate sharpness if needed.
Thanks. She looks even better when she's displaying her dorsal fins. The silhouette of a cichlid is a thing of beauty.

Thank you. Friendly she isn't. Not to her decor, not to her tank mates - not even to me. She draws blood while I'm cleaning!

Chainmail, eh? Methinks you just might have a naughty streak...
Seriously though, I just shoo her away and work as quickly as possible. That and keep her well fed.
