Popular Photography Magazine went under not too long ago. I then decided to Subscribe to a long subscription to Shutterbug Magazine. They went under too. However, I had to contact them, and ask why I was no longer getting my magazines. I was told they went under too, but the remaining issues would be replaced with Outdoor Photographer Magazine. It was done. My subscription has expired, and I received a renewal notice for a 12 month extension for only $14.97. That's an offer I can't refuse. The magazine has a lot of ads, which I don't mind, and some interesting articles. The magazine is not a thick one, as most magazines are not today. This renewal offer, may be offered to those who did not have a previous subscription. If interested.

Here is a free website that may be of interest. Free daily tips, new software deals etc. I love it. Maybe you will too?

A great deal. I pick it up a couple times a year from Barnes & Noble for $6.99 an issue. Along with Nature Photographer, $10.99 an issue. Sometimes I'll go into the Starbucks there & read them for free with a cup of coffee.
You might want to check out "Nature Photographer" from Canada. Only three issues per year but stunning photos, great stories about the locations, etc. Not cheap but WOW!
www.naturephotographermag.comMost photos give basic metadata. Available on line or as a printed version (which I prefer) -- great photos for grand kids' projects after I'm done enjoying the photos and the tips.
I've taken Outdoor Photography for years. It has gone from being an all-slick to thinner paper. And sometimes the printing isn't as up to par as it used to be. The articles are good. They run contests frequently that subscribers can enter. I actually read all the ads. They're well done and interesting. It's the last stand for a mail-out magazine. And their subscription prices have dropped in the last few years.
I clicked on this link. I like it already, just seeing it one time. Thanks.

You can sign up for daily, or near daily, tips but you can access all of them on line. I have a separate email folder to save the ones I like the most or may want to access later on.

I had read Popular Photography Magazine, on and off, for a few years. I sometimes bought it, or just read them at News Stands. One thing I liked about Popular Photography, is that they chose a Camera Of The Year. I remember.one year, it was the Nikon D750. The D750 is still popular today. Yes, there are many free online websites you can get. But, many people spend $5 a day for coffee at Starbucks. That's much more, than what I'll be paying for one issue of the Outdoor Photographer print magazine.
Through the library systems in Colorado, Denver Public Library and Jefferson County Library, you can download the RB Digital App and read many magazines for free. Outdoor Photographer is one that I read for free on my Ipad.

As periodicals in general started dying one by one, I got really annoyed. In the US, subscriptions are almost always a bargain compared to individual issue purchasing. The long term success of a magazine is usually dependent on circulation which begats advertising revenue. Once, it became cheaper for big advertisers like B&H (remember those go forever multipage ads of recent past) to reach more potential buyers via the internet, it became just a matter of time. The old model didn’t necessarily guarantee survival. I’ve gone the usual sequence like some previous posters: Pop Photo, Shutterbug, etc and now I’m down to Outdoor Photography perhaps to the end. BTW, the Canadian version of the same mag recently announced that publication is ceasing. My other guilty pleasure is the UK Practical Photography, available in the iOS world for about $45 a year. I only wish they would provide an index....
After years of subscribing to both Popular Photography and Shutterbug I decided to let my PopPhoto subscription expire. In an unusual stroke of good luck, the last issue I was expecting to receive was the last one they published. Did I cause the demise?
Now with Shutterbug gone, I've been enjoying Outdoor Photographer and just received the renewal offer. I guess I have to take them up on it. I don't want to cause another magazine to go under.
I was a Shutterbug subscriber and the same thing happened to me. I am now renewing with Outdoor Photographer as not as good, for me, as Shutterbug. Too bad that we are losing these magazine in print.

Lubec is almost -- but not quite -- Canada!

It's kinda like supporting your local photo shop. You pay extra for items, but you enjoy the customer service you get. And, you don't want them close shop. As, so many local photo shops have permanently closed down. Never to reopen for business.
