My list would contain photographers to shadow from the hallowed halls of UHH itself.

Gene 51 and Graham Smith should also be on this list.

Gene 51 does great work and is very knowledgeable in the technical aspects.

Graham Smith is a great story teller with his photos.

Joe McNamara, Nikon Ambassador and more.

I think you mean Joe McNally.

I whole heartedly agree I would love to work with him. Just to be around him when he is working. I'd go get coffee, sweep the floor, god forbid if he let me hold a scrim or reflector!

In random order, my long list would include: Anne Geddes, Annie Liebowitz, Brooke Shaden, Sue Bryce, Joel Grimes, Meg Bitton, Anna Brandt, David Bailey, Jerry Ghionis, Sarolta Ban, Scott Kelby, Scott Robert Lim, Greg Heisler, Bambi Cantrell, Roberto Valenzuela, Kelly Robitaille, Sal Cincotta, Joe Buissink, Susan Stripling...and the list goes on. It would be nearly impossible to pick just one.

I would not shadow any photographers!

Great selection. Herb Ritts is up there for me also and I esp enjoyed Vivian Maier self portraits, all very creatively captured.

I have had the good fortune to do workshops with some "big name pros" and I enjoyed it tremendously. These days, I would really love to "rub elbows" with a dozen or so of our fellow Hogs. Their landscape images show that they have an incredible knack of being in exactly the right place at the perfect time. I could sure use some of that.

A good bit of that is planning. Occasionally I’ll be driving and see a scene and stop for a few shots, but more than likely I’ll see a spot I want to photograph and make plans to be there at a time when I think the light will be good.
