If I could figure out how to comment and add an image... I would show you what I tried on your pic... the tree.

I simply used the Adjustment Brush (in Lightroom) and with the brush about as small as I could get it... I painted over the (bright) tree to darken it. It would no longer stick out and you wouldn't have to crop it out.

I always look at my images and use that tool to eliminate distractions.

A very nice shot! Agree with other's comments about the tree, so prefer the cropped version. Cloning it out should not be a problem. Great colors and the inclusion of an old fence is certainly a plus.

Love country fence line photos...another good shot would be to get closer to the fence, and get down lower, if possible, and have the fence fading out in the distance...good job!!

Great idea my friend. In other words, get down to a raccoon's level.

Love the cropped shot. I hope Spring is on its way. Fine work.

Thanks Doc, and thanks to the member who suggested that crop. Spring might be on it's way, but right now it's in the 20's and windy here.

If it were me I would have moved more into the field of Lupin(?) and take a longer picture of the fence and the flowers. It is still a very nice picture.

Thanks for taking a look and your suggestion Traderjohn.

Image taken on the side of Burtonville Rd, located in Fultonville, NY. I was drawn to the scene by the colorful flowers and tried to compose a pleasing photo by incorporating the fence and forest in the background. The focus is on the flowers and the background is intentionally softer to not distract from the main subject. I Intended the picture to invoke memories of carefree drives along rural roads.

Critique, comments and suggestions always welcomed. Thanks.
