Without UK there would be no DUKE.

What is the logic behind that?

Oh - I get it now. How’s the UK team looking this year? I’m not a sports fan per se, but when the NCAA tournament starts and we have a team in the hunt, I’m watching (even though the last page of my college annual says “go to hell Duke”).

Cheers and good luck
Chris

Sounds like they’ll be competitive in March Madness! If I remember correctly, Duke was #2 until UK knocked off Tenn.

My dearly beloved Kentucky Wildcats won again last night, beating the hated Missouri Tigers, taking their record to 22-4 and increasing their odds for a #1 seed in one of the NCAA brackets.

I am nit sure, but wasn’t Kentucky the team that lost in the NCAA finals to an all black Texas Western team, that broke the color barrier?

We’ll see if Duke is still #1 at the end of the night. UNC up by 10 at the half of a great game, no matter who wins.

Afraid Duke won’t be ranked #1 after tonight. In fairness they lost their best player to an injury in the first minute, but UNC dominated the game and wins by 16.

Perhaps this team also deserves applause.
UCLA: established in 1919, the program has won a record 11 NCAA titles. Coach John Wooden led the Bruins to 10 national titles in 12 seasons, from 1964 to 1975, including seven straight from 1967 to 1973. UCLA went undefeated a record four times (1964, 1967, 1972, and 1973). Coach Jim Harrick led the team to another NCAA title in 1995.

The absolutely greatest domination by one team - in any sport - ever. And led by the greatest coach ever in any sport!!! (And a fine GENTLEMAN) as well.

Not to take anything away from Coach Wooden but Google Kenynon College swim teams, 18 out of 19 but it is a Division III school

Don't leave UVA out of the mix. UVA and Duke have the same 23-3 record, followed by KY at 22-4, and UNC at 21-5. These win/loss records can change at the blink of an eye. They are certainly indicative of the strength of the ACC.

UVA is very strong this year - should be great ACC and NCAA tournaments.
