Fun project!

Thanks for joining in, Bob. I can see why you can make a living at doing this sort of thing.

I had to have a go at this as I've stood in that exact spot.

Is the old wrecked trawler still at lower Diabaig?

Nice work. I can't remember seeing anything that was recognisable as a trawler, but there was something on the shore just to the right of the pier. So you stood on that exact spot? I hope you had more sense than to perch on top of the wall like I did .

The trawler was a short distance northward on the beach. Here is a shot of it and another from the pier looking the other way.

I must have been too busy trying to catch the light before it disappeared. Either that or it's deteriorated since you took that shot. It's the sort of place that warrants a series of shots. I'll probably go back some day. The drive there was fun. I can remember having to go down to first gear to get up the hill.

It was called "Dayspring" registered in Lossiemouth iirc. I don't know how it came to be there, it was partially burned out.

I imagine it has quite a story to tell. Once again your composition warrants some contemplation. I'd like to think I'm getting to the point where I put a similar amount of forethought into my own compositions. Choice of subject is just the start of the process of getting worthwhile shots.
