I love Patsy Cline’s music and the shots are great but how did you take them. Don’t most theaters prohibit photography?

Photo policies vary widely from venue to venue. Sadly, cell phones are becoming the camera of choice, so yes...real cameras are being prohibited more and more. In this case, they prohibited taking video. They didn't say anything about photos, so I shot away.

This was done locally here a few years ago, it was a great evening. So sad at the end. You pictures are fantastic. I'm somewhat surprised you were allowed to photograph this event, were you given special permission? Anyhow a great job!

Hi again Folks, my wife and I attended a Theatrical Tribute to the life of Patsy Cline. The play begins very early in Patsy's career beginning with her friendship with Louise Segar. Patsy visited Louise's house many times and the two of them would discuss things that would make it into some of Patsy songs. This friendship lasted till Patsy's untimely death from a plane crash in March 1963. The play was beautiful to watch and listen to. The cast included the use of a live band when Patsy's songs were preformed. Part 1 contains images from the earliest part of Patsy's career. I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks Everyone, loved all the comments and stories. She did have such a pure voice. And a trailblazer for women entering the music business. Her life was way to short. There is a Patsy Cline Museum here in Nashville. I might just have to go check it out. Glad you've enjoyed this set. I will be posting Part 2 in a few days. These will be later in Patsy career as she gained fame.

Where did we go so wrong? Where did all the good singers go? I feel so sorry for the youth of today. I think most the song writers of today only seem to know three words. "I love you" and say it over and over again. The old song writers tell love story's. When we danced we held our partner close. Now it looks like they stand two feet apart and just jump up and down.

I agree Hal, I just don't understand or like music that kids are listening to today. Lots of the "Hip-Hop" messages are of despair, disrespectful toward women and filled with hate.
