If contacting ICE was such a good idea, why did not the repubs pass it when they had a majority everywhere? This is just showmanship for the NRA. You know, that group who helped the Russians elect trump.

And how many people here illegally would actually submit to a background check? Wouldn't you like to see some data on how many i*****l i*******ts submit to background checks while attempting to buy firearms before you try to conflate this into an issue? I would. But then, I live in a fact based world, not Trumpistan.

Show me some data and I could get on board. Until then, this is the mother of all straw man arguments. Maybe he republicans can try to amend the bill so that ICE is notified when purple Eskimos or Hobbits fail back ground checks.

ICE on this amendment is nothing more than a red herring. The Democrats because of their hatred towards both ICE and their need to assert their power and control of the House over reason rejected an amendment that should have been supported. ICE was a minor part of the amendment and as you say, it was totally inconsequential because most i******s would never submit themselves to a background check.

Read the amendment that was rejected by the democrats. It requires notification to law enforcement of non eligible persons trying to acquire a gun, it would seem that in more rational moments this would be something that democrats would support.

These facts should make you feel better, sleep better and generally comfort you. The Sanctuary State of Colorado issues concealed carry permits to qualified people. A person must fill out a form, pass a background check etc. The same is true in order to purchase a fire arm.

On the background check form for a firearm purchase the dimocrat controlled state (in all of its wisdom) asks if the applicant is a convicted felon. It also asks if the applicant has any outstanding felony arrest warrants and some similar type questions. How many people reply yes to the outstanding warrants question? Gotta go now so can't finish this but you may get the drift. Sleep well knowing you are being protected by liberal dimocrats.
